We are excited to share details about the NoM Cllr Mian and her team created.
This Motion will direct the City Administration to return to Council with a Nose Creek Park strategy no later than Q4 2026. (An update is requested in Q1 2025.)
This Park Strategy looks at whether it’s possible to build a regional park within Nose Creek Valley. Working with the City of Airdrie and Rocky View County to make recommendations and policies.
The goal is to create a detailed plan to protect, improve, and connect the Nose Creek Valley in alignment with current, pending and future land use and servicing policies, especially those for nearby areas to preserve the Creek’s historical and ecological significance.

Tuesday, Oct 29, 2024 – Regular Meeting of Council
The NoM will be voted on Oct 29, 2024, during the Regular Meeting of the Council; you can show your support by planning to attend in person or listen in virtually to show support. Because this isn’t a public hearing, there will not be any opportunity for residents to speak, but it’s important to show our support.
Remember, fellow Creek Heads, we “Speak for the Creek,” so that is what need from you now. This is our path. This is our moment of many more to come.
What can you do to help?
Come join us in person on Tuesday, October 29, 2024. The Ward 3 office estimates that the vote will take place sometime in the early afternoon between 12:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m.
Please contact your Ward Councillor for their support to vote yes for NoM. You can use the City of Calgary contact page to reach out to not only your Ward Councillor but also the other 13 members. The mayor has a separate contact page with the link below.
